Meet KSEA’s New Program Director

Please welcome Jenny Cahalan, our new KSEA Program Director!

Jenny comes to us with an impressive background in sailing and racing, sailing instruction, and sail education administrative positions. She worked for the Tarrantine Club of Dark Harbor in Isleboro, Maine for several summers. This is where her love of Maine began and she is excited get back to Maine and get to know the Blue Hill Peninsula through her work at KSEA.

In addition to her work with sailing programs, Jenny has spent recent winters delivering large boats and participating in racing in Europe. In the Summer of 2023 she spent most of her time racing a boat called Spartan, a 1912 Herreshoff NY 50. She raced Spartan in events in Italy, Spain and France. Between events she spent time in boatyards in Italy and France helping to manage the restoration of an old Swan.

Through her work delivering large boats she has sailed the cold waters of Maine and warmer waters of the Caribbean in Panama, and nearly everything in between.

Jenny has a Bachelor of Science in Biological Engineering from the University of Georgia where she was on the Sailing team.
